华人第一情色社区 will welcome back Kol, a certified therapy dog, on Monday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. Kol will provide comfort to students studying for final exams in the Wimberly Library, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

The award-winning canine and his owner, Jane Eisenberg, are volunteers with Therapy Dogs International and have spent the last three years comforting Hospice patients. The 71-pound golden retriever enjoys the attention from students and doesn鈥檛 mind cuddling with them or posing for a 鈥渟elfie.鈥

鈥淪tudies have shown that therapy pets can help to reduce stress and anxiety and a growing number of universities are having success with golden retrievers during final exams,鈥 said Rita Pellen, associate dean of Libraries. 鈥淜ol鈥檚 visit to FAU puts a different face on the academic library and shows our students that we care about what they are experiencing.鈥

Kol鈥檚 visit is hosted by FAU Libraries and the FAU Mentoring Project.
